After a freezing cold night when the sun was not up yet, I got in my car and drove to this particular location. Because of differences in temperature, fog started rising from the creek. I could immediately picture the scene in my head that I wanted to portray with this image. I am a huge fan of the Lord of the Rings movies, so instantly that bridge reminded me of Arwen and Aragorn declaring their love for each other on that little bridge in Rivendell. The fog added more mystery to the image.

This photo was a little bit of a challenge because it is more like a landscape and less like the forests and trees that I usually photograph. But I was so inspired and I had such a clear picture in my head of what I wanted to achieve with this, that it felt okay to step a little bit out of my comfort zone.

I shot this with a Nikon D750, with a 28-300mm lens. My settings were 135mm, 0.6 sec, f11, iso 100. For post processing I used an array of different software like Photoshop and Google NIK Collection, among others.
